Kim

Travel has been my passion since my first overseas holiday as a child.

Having studied Travel & Tourism at 6th form, I joined a local independent as an apprentice back in 2002 – 19 years and several companies later I still get the same buzz and excitement from helping our amazing clients plan their trips.

I’ve been with the Kyle Travel team for the last 5 years, and I couldn’t wish to work with a better bunch, every day is different and there is never a dull moment!

Countries visited:

Europe – Menorca, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Rhodes, Cyprus, Tunisia, Cadiz, Barcelona, Florence/Pisa, Monte Carlo, Rome, Amsterdam, Finland, Paris

USA – New York, Florida, Mexico

South Africa – Johannesburg, Kruger National Park

Cruise lines – Princess, NCL, P&O, Saga, Fred Olsen

Favourite destination:

Now that’s an impossible question!

My absolute trip of a lifetime has to be South Africa. I loved every second of my time there, to come so close to elephants, giraffes & lions in their natural habitat was something I will never forget. And there is nothing better than watching the African sunset from the middle of the savannah – it’s true what they say, the African sunset really does capture your heart.

My other favourite would be Finland. It was incredible to experience powder like snow! I had a great time snowmobiling & husky sledding. I was also lucky enough to visit the Ice Hotel, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Sadly the Northern Lights didn’t show, but it was still such a magical and memorable trip, and one I can’t wait to do again.

Where next:

My wish list gets longer every week! I would love to visit Croatia, or a Royal Caribbean cruise – their ships are stunning and packed with activities and entertainment which would certainly keep my young daughter entertained.

Last holiday:

My last holiday was some winter sun in Lanzarote. It was the perfect family break. We stayed in Playa Blanca which was lovely and quiet. We took a trip to Puerto Calero for a submarine trip which is perfect for anyone with children, the harbour area is stunning and a great spot to enjoy the sunshine and a bit of people watching

Travel tip:

Always check you’ve got the right passport before you leave home – you’ll never popular checking in at 4am and realising your mistake. Oops!
