My journey in travel began in 1998 as an apprentice with Bell Travel in Darlington. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with several agencies, progressing from Travel Consultant to Assistant Manager and eventually Store Manager.
In 2019, my career took an unexpected turn when the impact of COVID-19 led to redundancy. I then joined my family’s business in the engineering sector, a valuable experience, but my passion for travel never faded.
When the opportunity arose to rejoin the industry and work alongside former colleagues at Kyle Travel, I was absolutely thrilled.
Kyle Travel is a truly wonderful company that values both its staff and customers. With such a wide range of products and partners, we’re able to create perfectly tailored holidays that turn our clients’ travel dreams into reality.
Since joining the team in 2025, I’ve loved every moment and cannot wait to continue helping clients create unforgettable travel experiences.
Countries visited:
Kenya (Diani Beach, Maasai Mara), Thailand (Bangkok, Koh Samui), Australia (Sydney, Cairns), Cuba (Varadero, Havana), Costa Rica (Tour), Mexico (Playa del Carmen, Tulum), UAE (Dubai), Egypt (El Gouna, Hurghada), Spain (Costa Blanca, Costa Dorada, Majorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma), France (Disneyland Paris, Brittany, Provence), Switzerland (Lucerne), Italy (Venice, Florence, Pisa, Lake Como), Greece (Rhodes, Corfu), Portugal (Algarve), Cyprus (Limassol), Ireland (Dublin), Netherlands (Amsterdam, Maastricht), Belgium (Brussels), Germany (Black Forest, Munic).
Favourite Destination:
My favourite sunny destination is Corfu in Greece. I love the island for its wonderful scenery, with contrasting mountains and sea views, plus the food is fantastic too!
I like to hire a car and travel round the island, finding lesser know spots to spend days in the glorious sunshine.
My most memorable travel experience was my honeymoon, which took us on an unforgettable journey through Australia and Thailand. We began in Sydney, a vibrant and diverse city where we explored iconic landmarks such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and enjoyed relaxing days at Manly and Bondi Beach. From there, we travelled north to the Great Barrier Reef, spending time on a liveaboard while completing our PADI certification surrounded by the most incredible coral and marine life.
To round off the trip, we headed to the beautiful island of Koh Samui, where the warm hospitality, friendly locals, and wonderfully spicy Thai cuisine made the perfect ending to an amazing adventure.

Where next:
Corfu of course, this has been booked a while, but my dream destination would be a cruise around the Norwegian Fjords, that would be spectacular….watch this space!
Last trip:
My last holiday was with my family in Lanzarote, between the two resorts of Costa Teguise and Puerto Del Carmen.
The weather was amazing, and we had some wonderful dining experiences.
We hired a car and visited the Cactus Gardens, Jameos del Agua and found some lesser-known beaches to relax at during the day.
Travel tip:
Try to learn basic phrases in the language of your destination, it will be well received, and you can impress your travel companions!
